  3. The signed offer — we prepare the MOHRE offer letter; you and the employee sign it.

03 — The fee that changes most

Your MOHRE category sets the labour fee.

MOHRE rates every company by the mix and conditions of its workforce. The rating sets the labour fee on each hire and renewal — the line that varies most between two companies hiring the same person.

Category 1per new hireAED 328

Companies rated highest by MOHRE for workforce skill mix, diversity and working conditions — the lowest fee tier.

Category 2per new hireAED 1,284

The tier most Dubai SMEs sit in: no single nationality above half the workforce and the ministry's standard conditions met.

Category 3per new hireAED 3,550.35

Companies with average conditions and more than half the workforce from one nationality — the highest tier.

Not sure which category you're in? It's printed on your MOHRE establishment file. Send us your licence number and we'll read it for you — and tell you what it would take to move down a tier.

07 — Questions

PRO service questions from business owners.

What does a PRO actually do for my company?
A PRO is the person who deals with government counters on a company's behalf — MOHRE for labour approvals and work permits, GDRFA or ICP for residence visas, and the typing centres, medical centres and Emirates ID offices in between. Outsourcing it to 800 DOCS means you get that person on demand, without a full-time salary and a visa of their own.
How is the cost of an employee visa made up?
Roughly ten government items: the offer letter (priced by the employee's education level), labour insurance, the MOHRE labour fee (priced by your company category), the entry permit or status change, medical fitness, Emirates ID, Tawjeeh, ILOE insurance and residence stamping. The estimator on this page lists each one with its fee, then we add our service charge on the quote.
Why is my labour fee different from another company's?
Because of the MOHRE category. Category 1 companies pay the least, category 3 the most, and the gap is several thousand dirhams per hire. The category depends on your workforce's skill mix, nationality spread and working conditions; we can tell you which one you are in and what would move you down.
Can I employ someone who is on their spouse's visa or holds a Golden Visa?
Yes. They keep their own residence and you take out a MOHRE work permit for them — a much smaller file than a full employment visa, with no entry permit, medical or stamping. The same applies to Golden Visa holders, and part-time permits cover interns and staff who also work elsewhere.
What happens when an employee resigns?
We cancel the labour contract and permit first, then the residence visa — from inside the UAE if they are still here, or from outside if they have already left. Doing it in that order, with the final settlement and passport handling agreed, keeps your establishment file clean for the next hire.
Do you handle licence and establishment-card renewals too?
Yes. Trade licence, establishment card and immigration-card renewals sit on the same tracker as your visas, and the monthly retainer covers all of them. Company amendments — activities, partners, manager changes — are handled under business setup.
Is the estimator's figure the final price?
It is the government and service-centre part, read from the live price list our own PROs use, so it is accurate to the dirham on the day. Our service fee, VAT and any refundable deposits are added on the written quote before you approve anything.

Fees read live from the MOHRE / GDRFA price list; page reviewed on .
